High Middle Bats
« on: June 02, 2014, 10:23:07 PM »

Which current bats have a high middle? Also what are people's opinions of high middle bats?
A lot of current bats seem to have low middles, which doesn't suit my style. I hate bottom heavy bats as I like to cut and pull. Any recommendations as which bats to look for?

B3 DB2

My Butterfly DB2 is still in it's early days but it is very balanced and feel very light for it's weight.

I'm currently using a Bulldog, which was based on the Amplus, except with a very slightly lowered middle. It's a lovely bat, and has a great pick up, and responds very well low on the bat, despite the high middle!

I have an absolutely stunning performance laminate (2.8) in the slightly lowered amplus profile which you can have for £250 posted. It's a weapon

I have an amplus shape in stock. Fantastic bat. It has a very slight pressing crack on one edge. Hardly notice it and won't make any difference to the bats performance.

£170 if you are interested.

Thanks

Recently got a M&H Harlequin for our overseas.

Goes like nothing you have ever seen - even at the moment when everything is slow and low!

Superb bat - I am even thinking of getting one.

Have you looked at the H4L Tempo?

The middle and swell is slightly higher than it appears. I've swished one this year and they pick up very well.
Drop Matt a line and see what he's got.

He also sells his 'Devils' for £120. They typically only have a pressing crack, tiny at worst, so they are a real bargain.

I've got an M&H Harlequin also, previously had a Blank Bat in an Amplus type shape as well.
And before that a Talisman special in a GT shape, all lovely bats. I've been through most of the high middled ones now!

Look at the GN vortex as well. Although it is a mid middle bat, it apparently picks up very lightly. I watched Paul's review of the LE version and he said it picks up lighter than any bat in the GN range. Others that haven't been mentioned are the pellara and libro adidas bats and the kookaburra midas, which came from australia and now in pro direct.

Or get someone to make up a bat in the 2012 Distinction profile - thats a long middle that keeps the pickup feathery light.
