That is some serious markup right there... without looking at the current exchange rate that is about 150 notes...

Not sure if someone would pay that for a grade 4 bat.

I don't think we have had slazengers on the shelves in Aus for 2 years or so now, maybe the die hard slazenger boys will pay through their teeth to get their fix  :D

To me that would pass as g1+. 13 straight grains, blemish free, and a nice streak of heartwood.

Thanks very much for that Sarg!

Picked up myself a Fusion and a range of other stuff.

Shipping is a real killer to Australia so when it is free I jump all over it!

It's potluck on the bats. We're all dreaming of unblemished light timber weighing in under 2.9. Reality might be scary looking, but I'm sure they will play well for a $90 bat.
Fingers crossed!

It doesn't matter I'm sure if I don't like it I'll flog it off the a teammate who will. Bargain.

The rest of the order went out of control sort of..
I actually just wanted a cheap helmet to replace my ageing Albion. Then it went.
$14 pair of gloves TA.
$9 for a dozen socks why not.
Matching bat cover ok.
Toe guard kit...yep need more glue.
Spare grip. Check
I was going to get those Slazenger Shoes, but have a brand new set of woodworms for next season, so I passed.

Exactly my thinking, bought about 10 grips, couple of rolls of bat tape, toe guard kit, 3 balls, and a grade 3 bat for $150 AUD!

When you consider that in the shops over here you will be lucky to find a grade 4 English willow bat with a grain cover for under that price.

Bargain!

Mind you a couple of the examples look low grade 3/4. It's still a great price for English willow. You pay the same for Kashmir bats in Aus.

Didn't need it, but I have always loved innovation and get sucked in quickly.

Previous and present examples include:

1. Slazenger Bradman Ridgeback. Snapped after 2 seasons

2. 2.10 GN Ultimate with hollow core. Great bat. Still have it.

3. 2.7 GN Megadrive and I hated it so much I sold it after a couple of net sessions.

4. 2.9 GN Fusion. Broke 7 days before the end of the warranty and i got a full refund to by my next session bat.

5. 2.8 Newbery Uzi Players. Great bat but handle broke and has never been the same.

6. 3.1 Indian Custom....now 2.10 a lookalike Bubble shortened blade and a lead plug to improve a hard bar above the middle. Experiment and Net bat only.

7. 2.11 Mongoose Torq Series. Not used yet, but it feels amazing.

Amazing bat there. But there is a gamble on weight how much does it weigh?

That V600 does look good. My V1200 arrives tomorrow. Fingers crossed, but I have a feeling it won't be pretty.

I asked them for a bat under 2.10 and a clean face they sent this it's dead on 2.9 and has very nice grains so very happy for 105 pounds it's a bargain and I think they all should be ok looks wise as your buying the grade one bat
