ASICS replacement spikes
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:46:26 AM »

Hi Guys,

I've got a pair of Gel Advace 4s which need some new metal spikes, but for the life of me I can't find any. All I've seen are the ones for the strike rates, which won't fit. Has anyone seen any or have any suggestions? I've tried getting in touch with ASICS themselves but haven't heard back.
Cheers!

Honestly mate the Asics spikes arent that great, would be far better option getting some decent champ spikes and putting them in your shoes. I did the same on my gell gully 3's and they are a far better lasting spike. I got the champs of a golf store off ebay, will just have to watch the thread length

hope that helps you

Cheers mate, looks like I'll have to accept the fact that Asics don't make replacement spikes! shame as I quite liked the red and gold/brass thing...

Hardest thing in the world to find.

I have been hunting for a set of red ones for months without luck!

I do not know why Asics do not sell them as an accessory.

Is twitter the way to go when contacting companies?

I won't name names, but I've tried contacting a couple of companies via emails to customer services, got no reply. Made phone calls to be put on hold for ages (had to give up as lunch break ended). Tweeted them, nearly instant response.

Most cricket retailers should stock them.

Ginger you won't get red or any other colours.

Yeah seems to be. I've had the same experiences as you - call them and you're either forever on hold or being passed from department to department. tweet them and at least they respond. Might not be the most helpful though...

Maybe UK is different but we stock them as do most cricket specialists here.

So apparently Champ make the spikes for Asics (and quite a few others as well, including for golf shoes). They don't have any colour in stock except the black ones so I've ordered a set from some off ebay as Fly originally suggested. They were only a fiver for 20 so nothing lost of the don't fit.

Will report back.
