It's a cricket forum, where folks go to find out stuff about/discuss cricket. This thread is only a day old, but is already 5 pages long - it's on an interesting subject, and I was keen to read it, but instead had to trawl through pages of personal posts - you're right, there is a place for banter on the forum, but 4 pages of it detracts from the quality of the information posted.

Best player played with: Peter Borren was our overseas a few years back who helped netherlands beat england in the 20/20 last year comp last year.

Best player played against: I opened the bowling against Michael Vandort who was Fakenhams overseas player, who has opened the batting for sri lanka a few times and averages about 40 in test cricket.

leeroy - yeah pretty decent . . .liverpool and district comp there are a lot of ex test match players and 1st class players in the league. Have moved on since now play in the ECB North Wales Premier League, not as good as the LDC but still a good standard.

Against - Jason Gillepsie, cracked me in the nuts first ball, but got revenge by stumping him! So I don't duplicate, that's probably my greatest achievement as well for SS's post!

With - Grame & Alec Swann, Monty Panesar. Out of the 3 Alec was the best in my opinion!

Best player I've played with, Hasantha Fernando, only played 2 tests but he was class, just typed his name into google and on his Wiki page my club is mentioned! Awesome!

Best player I've played against... not sure TBH, no massive names, Omari Banks was quite good, but not that great ITBT, I'd probably say it was Imran Ali (young guy) or Aizaz Cheema. Both were in the league last season, both bowl 85+. THey ripped through batting line ups.
