Laver & Wood remaking one of my favourite ever bats from the 90s.

I might look into getting this done, as I'm pretty sure I won't be playing first class cricket anytime soon.

I remember that bat. A player at our club (long retired) had one and love it too. I always wondered the angle of the dowels. Good way to reduce weight...or add if the wood is heavier.

I remember this as the S6. I had one and it was a lovely bat. Basically the Solution shape, but better pick up as the spruce was lighter than willow.

Technically, it's not legal as a new bat, but as it was made before they changed the rules, it can be used, but not at first class level.

You are adding wood where it's not supposed to be and glueing in place, which is strictly something that's not allowed.

If you read the Laws, that's what it says. Any addition of wood for stengthening (i.e. a toe or edge insert) turns the bat into a grade B bat.
