Hi Chad, i would love to do such a review but a few members on the forum would not allow me to do so. Even though i have proven i am not the head of Lekka, i still get emails from forum and non members saying i am the Head of lekka and i am selling false goods. I did do a review of the signature bat i received from James a view months back but with approval of forum bosses i would do a detailed review.

Oh sod that mate...if you have a decent bat regardless of what brand do a review. I've only had one lekka, was tpx, and it played really well. James has a unique sense of humor, sometimes ppl don't get him but he has always been very helpful to me so can't fault him.

very true Tushar and maybe another thread at a later date. Im just hoping my bat is going to mend, I dont understand how i keep breaking them

It's quite simple guys cricket balls are hard willow is soft something has to give I must say it's quite strange to see the back of your bat break there when the ball would have hit the face of the bat ?

Yeah is a face split mate,

Is more a post of frustration I understand the nature of our game with hard ball and soft timber is bound to happen, but 3 bats in 2 weeks........luck doesn't seem to be on my side!

Fly, do you not put a bit of something between the bat and the clamp to try and prevent marks?  From experience, those clamps leave "teeth" marks that are a pain to sand out.

Also, I've been using original gorilla glue, the stuff that expands when you wet it.  Best stuff I've used, don;t get it on your skin though!

The black clamps are padded so no need for wood, i have placed wood on the side where the crack is but i didnt on the other side purely by mistake and the fact i will be taping over it as i think if i take off the fibre sheet i could do more damage to the bat,

I have the same type of clamp and they still leave marks if I don't put a buffer in between (Maybe I do them up too tight)

I find putting a bit of wood or rubber also helps even out the pressure on the crack

Possibly too tight,  have the wood for the steal clamps as they do leave marks, it will likely be my number 2 bat as it looks like i have saved my kooka which i posted about week or so ago.

2 weeks from hell have just got worse. Welcome bat number 4 to the list of broken bats. Isnt as serious as they others but nonetheless a (insert language) debacle.

That needs a bit of mallet work and it'll be fine.
Still a kick in the teeth though.
