That duffle would be so useful. For somebody who has to take my wheelie bag on the tube that would be by far much eaiser.

Mr Lowy,

What, if any, rise in price will there be for the range this year?
(Which looks marvellous.)

Thanks

No freezy frost here, I see no point in the same question being repeatedly asked of me when I have given my answer at the outset.

Very interesting listening to and thinking about all the questions in this thread. Will try and answer but going out shortly with some guests this evening

Kind regards

Edward

I'm glad there's no frostiness here guys!

Hi Alvaro, that is for retailers to say. We can't set retail prices and don't sell direct.

Kind regards

Great to see everyone at GM again today, always a pleasure to chat with you Edward, however briefly, and on whatever topic. Perhaps I'll pick something a bit more cheerful to talk about next time, like how well Mr Root is batting, or indeed how well his Six6 is selling! :)

I'm putting together a little GM pre-order offer for the forum this evening, should be able to post it a little later.

Perhaps a silly question, but just wanted to ask about the weights specified in that catalogue. It says naked weight which according to GM is 3oz less than the finished weight(Page 3). Just so I understand it right, as an example a 3lb bat (at the maximum end of the GM scale) would weigh in at roughly 3lb 3oz then when it comes to the retailer/end consumer. Is my understanding correct?

I'm confused - does this mean that affinity and spartan let you hand pick the bats or not?

Has anyone got any picture of the new lid??
I know there's some in the catalogue, but it would be nice to see some "real life" images  :)

Can a bat geek tell me why an F7 lightweight icon offers "max power to weight" - surely this is only in the sweetspot that is now narrower due to the lack of edge mass when compared to a F4.5/F2 bat?
Assuming an identical weight bat (ignoring pick up as in long spell it comes down to raw weight) for a village cricketer then the better choice is a 4.5/2 over a 7 due to the mass and therefore sweetspot size being wider?
I only ask as I view it from an almost aesthetic/traditionalist view and I find the Icon F7 more appealing.....

(I hope that makes sense)

They don't allow it.

Until recently with Spartan at least. I'm not sure when in 2014 they started offering it, but it was mid season.

Just been flicking through the catalogue with my girlfriend. I didn't have to push too hard to get her to show an interest, but it is hardly a riveting read for her.

A total non cricketers view can throw up some interesting points. With regard to the Sigma; 'it looks like Swiss Cheese to me!' was her remark. She thought the milling of the GM logo looked very good though.

Interestingly, I quizzed her on what her favourite bat was, as well as pads and gloves, or at least what she would use if she did play cricket. Mogul bat, 909 pads, 909 gloves.

When i flicked to the womens range and showed her that all the things she had picked were marketed specifically to women she commented 'It looks like me and this Edward fellow think alike!'

Seal of approval. :)
