Laver & Wood’s Bat Copying Service

Laver & Wood’s Bat Copying Service

One of the most frequent complaints we hear from cricketers is they cannot replace their old bat with one of similar weight, balance and with the same sweet spot. Sports stores bat racks often don’t have the bat to match the old favourite.

At Laver & Wood we replicate bats in large numbers. Customers send us their bat, we assess whether it can be restored or repaired, and make a copy of the bat in the grade the customers specifies.

Making bats by hand, rather than by machine, means any bat shape can be copied, from a SS Jumbo from the late 80’s to a modern day Twenty20 bat. We can even copy the old style Don Bradman era bats, very light, small bats that generate amazing bat speed making deflections and working the ball around far easier.

To order a copy of your existing bat please contact Laver & Wood by email to make shipping arrangements.

OPTIONAL OFFER:

All bat copy orders placed before the 16th of November will receive either a free refurb (if the old bat is up to it) or free knocking in for the new bat.

This photo shows a very old bat made by Centurion, a small producer from New Zealand that is no longer making bats. They made some great bats, and the one we have replicated has performed well for many seasons, but is worn out. The copy matches this bat exactly, but will perform like a new one.

Hi Jon

I got that email too! I reckon they would offer an outstanding service, but wonder what the price would be like!!!
The thing we have to consider is the damn postage costs to NZ.

Interesting to see that Millichamp and Hall had introduced this too on their website. But at the charge of £300!
