Sorry Paul, I've beaten you to it. I had the pleasure of visiting the H4L workshop today.

What I can say is Matt was hard at work preparing for you.

Great day at H4L today!  :) Matt had worked very hard getting a massive selection of bats made up and ready to pick from, and I was really pleased with what we came away with for our pre-order customers and new shop stock.

We also found out that H4L are releasing a new profile shape for 2015: the Tempo Mark 2.  Same Tempo stickers, but a different profile, with much thicker edges and a higher sweet spot, with weights consistently around the 2lb 7oz - 2lb 8oz mark.  Here are a couple of shots I took:

We picked one Pro (the bat pictured), one Grade 1 and a Grade 2 and a video review will go up within the next week or so...

Thoughts on the new shape?

Is it still from an oversized cleft? And will they still sell the tempo 1?

Pretty sure the answer is no to both, but maybe Matt can confirm?

Which shape did you find the best in terms of pick up and initial performance?

It's a big bat for 2.8, that's for sure! Just a bit disappointed that the huge spine and thin edged shape has been discontinued. :-[ I guess people are wanting lighter bats with bigger edges, so that's understandable.

Daft to change the tempo completely and keep the same name and stickers.

Things a tad tight at h4l??

Glad I got one before this!!!

Unfortunately I have to agree. it creates a slightly confused message for the consumer.

Maybe the tempo did not go quite so well and there are a lot of stickers left?!

Looks huge for the weight and a great shape.

Hey we never know there maybe an oversized prop from h4l with a new name. The rhythm?

Oh man, I swear I wasn't going to buy any more bats... Really like that profile. Any pics of the other Tempo2's Paul?

I think I preferred the old shape,  but if it's this that meets what matt has been asked for them fair enough.

The Pro bat pictured was actually the heaviest of the lot (think it is 2.10), the others I saw were all 2.7 and 2.8...

These new Tempos certainly pick up lighter than the Hattori and HellFire for me, but not sure if it feels lighter than the NV.  I couldn't really notice the difference in pick-up between those two...

Only this one of the face, Vincent:

I can imagine you breathed a sigh of relief when I revealed that this bat was actually 2.10!  ;) But if you want lighter, they are available in lighter weights (in the lower grades) from today's batch and (no doubt) future batches as well...

We have changed the tempo profile for 2015 , outside of this forum is wasn't a popular selling profile , happy to make one in the future if anyone requires that profile on request .

Liking that profile a lot. Going to have to start saving as my 2 NV's are feeling a bit lonely and need a new friend  :D
