Affinity Toro
« on: October 07, 2014, 12:25:41 PM »

Does anyone know if Affinity makes it's G2s in India ? Thought I read that somewhere. I'm looking at getting a Toro, but don't want to drop that sort of dough if it's a mass produced g2 bat.

All made in England as far as I'm aware mate - you won't go wrong with one from the reviews on here

I've got one mate, it's an absolute gun!! Mine isn't Asian made. They pick up a lot better than the weight would suggest. Mine is 2.13 but I'd easily use one up to 3lb if it picked up like mine. Best thing to do is get in touch with him on fb or twitter, send him your number and he will call you back. Make sure you clear an hour from your diary to have a good chat to him. That's what I did, now have 4 affinity's and haven't looked back. The bats are really good and Marcus is a top bloke.

I would recommend you do this pretty soon as I don't believe the Toro will be around for much longer (although I cannot confirm this)...

Maybe clear out two hours just to be on the safe side!   ;) He likes to talk...  :)

Not yours, no.  I reviewed Johnrockin's G1.

That's correct. No longer available from next year. They're only being made in g2 now though and I remember reading an interview somewhere stating that all g2s are now outsourced to India.

Will get in touch with him and confirm.

Lovely looking bat in both grain structure and profile. It picks-up very well for the weight (I normally use bats that weigh between 2lb 8oz-10oz). The middle is long and pings very nicely.

I used the bat in a lot of our winter nets and in one game (where I scored 71), but it was a friendly. Don't think that I used it in a league game last season, mainly because my match bat is going well.

Despite the limited use, it's good to hear that it's going well for you, John! Thanks for keeping our sticker on it after all this time too!  :)
