I've never really been keen on Kooka bats with so much concaving across most of their models. And then I saw this......

They are top of the line bats made, apparently, exclusively for Triforce Sports here in Australia by the Kooka guys in Melbourne. They look like outstanding sticks with absolutely no concaving and they are very light for their size. They also have a nice looking, matching set of softs. Not surprisingly, not cheap either. Just to be clear, I'm not advertising. I just took a few snaps whilst I was 'browsing' their range.

Looks good, hopefully the range next year produces some similar bats. Mind you, the similarity of the bats at the moment doesn't stop them from being popular, Kook bats all over Melbourne

Yeah, Sydney too. Kookas seem to be everywhere from park cricket to grade. Not my 'cup of tea', but these bats look amazing. Having said that, I wouldn't spend 800+ on a bat.

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Sorry, just re-read the original post, are they saying these are Aussie made bats, not Indian?

Now that's beautiful, I would consider buying one if they were available in the UK. Never know though, maybe one of the 2015 UK Kook profiles will look like that, haven't checked if they have been released to the public yet!

There is a paragraph in the kookaburra documents we have received for the UK 2015 range that talks about extensive investment in their batmaking facilities in both India and the UK, i haven't been able to quiz them on this yet but it does suggest maybe some top end UK Kookaburra bats will be UK made this year.

Also Chad, there are a couple of bats that are similar to this shape in the new UK range.

Christ on a bike!!!! Those prices!!!! That's about £470 for the bat, £100 for the pads and £65 for the gloves!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if I was any good, I'd have to think twice about paying for that kit!

Even on the bundle deal, the split is roughly £410 / £85 / 55  !!!

It still looks like a reasonable price sitting on the shelf next to the GN Legend Gold at 1200 AUD! Most top end bats (including GM signature bats) seem to be around the 800+ Mark in Aus this year.
