Melbourne based, Sareen made.
They've named a willow cricket bat 'the mahogany'I don't really know what else to say to be honest haha! Don't want to be overly critical of anyone but there's a limit...
They had a ripping pair of keeping gloves when I popped in a few months ago, super soft and light white gloves with skeleton print on back.
Their shop is in Smith Street Abbotsford. They are getting more exposure, especially since Aston Agar used their kit when he made his record-breaking debut knock at #11 in the 2013 Ashes in England. As mentioned bats are Indian made, so I'm quite sceptical as they are just another bat grading/stickering company really, they don't manufacture their stuff. Icon the same...
I saw him score that 98 and probably like a lot of blokes on this forum was very interested in his batting and his bat in particular, because he struck the ball to all parts with great aplomb and, like me, he looks like he couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I was initially sorry to see he dropped TNF soon after, however having seen the bats, the large amount of scalloping used to achieve some super light weights, (Ashton's was reported at 2lb 6oz or thereabouts) I have come to the conclusion that Ashton deserved all the accolades for that innings… I don't think the bats are special at all, IMO. They look like incredibly overpriced Indian sticks; I'd rather buy something off this forum, or indeed something from online stockist if I wanted an Indian bat. Cannot comment on the softs however.
