Afternoon all,
Having read through the tributes on here and those posted on Twitter, Facebook etc what's struck me is how this tragic news has affected so many people.
Like many I've experienced close personal loss but never have I felt the way I did yesterday about someone whom I'd never met. I'm not afraid to admit I cried a few tears, not only for Phil and his family but also for Sean Abbott. The term 'Cricket Family' is used a lot on Twitter but I've been touched by how so many people have taken their time to post tributes and in particular the #PutOutYourBats tweets.
I was lucky enough to have witnessed him play first hand and the one thing that struck me the most was his incredible confidence in his own ability. We can all learn something from that.
I chose to tweet the attached as my own personal tribute, I'm sure many of you have done the same. Please feel free to add your own and hopefully create the forums own little tribute to Phil.
