Well what a day for England. Every batsmen so far apart from Vaughn) has contributed with Bell playing himself back into some form. And kp well what can you say, give him a challenge and he'll try his hardest to do it. A wonderful 100 from him and it really showede the South Africans what he can do when on form. This continues his record of scoring a test hundered against every side he's played against, i think.

Nearly, Broads time will come.  I could never see him getting 100 then, didn't seem the time for me.  Bell should, good on him me fav. batsman in England setup.

I feel so sorry for Bell, he played a beautiful innings and then gets out to a catch like that off of Harris. I bet he's thinking now why oh why didn't i just hit it along the floor for a single. Oh welll this 199 should silence a few of his critics about him not going on and making big hundreds for a while.
Was collingwood out? It looked like it came off the pad but i'm wondering if maybe it got a little inside edge onto the pad? from looking at it it does look like straight off the bad but when your in the kinda rutt colly's in all the decisions seem to go against you.
Broad well i think if people bowl short on his legs and full outside off he will continue to score runs and i hope he will get a 100 for England, however i think he is a bit suspect on pitched up balls on leg and middle stump. I don't think he whipps the ball well enough and will continue to get out in ways like he did today.
Kp well i'm glad he got to 150 and would have been even happier if he could have got to his 200 but he must feel so happy to score 150 against South Africa at his new country's home of cricket.
Ambrose why is it that recently all England keeper's have started off well with the bat but have gradually detoriated? With Broad scoring runs at 8 surely it would now be time to bring back Read (actually he isn't allowed i think because of his ICL connections) so next in line as best keepeer would be Foster who is a decent enough batsmen as well.

South Africa currently 228 for 8 been a really good performance by the England bowlers and i have been really pleased by Broads and monty's bowling. And they have been backed up well by the feilding.

After watching the majority of the game yesterday i feel our bowling attack lacks that something that a Harmison/Freddie brings.  At present we don't have that player who can hit the bat hard and ruffle up a player aswell as keep it tight at one end.

Problem is who do you drop?  Anderson always looks like he's going to take a wicket even though he can he a little wayward at times, Sidebottom has been the form man over the past year but seems to be struggling with his back and Broad who is very useful with the bat and is a star of the future and Monty has to play as the spin option.

I was lucky enough to be at the game yesterday and well not as exciting as i hoped.
South Africa are currently off the field for some reason and i think this might be the end of the game and even if it isn't the game's going to be a draw anyway.
On who do you drop i would drop Colly at the moment for Flintoff and bring in Foster for Ambrose as at the moment i am strugggling to see why he's in the side.

Another match ends in a draw at Lords. South Africa only lost 3 wickets in there second inings which shows how well England did in the first innings.

The second test has now started and england have flopped from looking at the scorecard. Haven't seen any of it so i suspect the conditions had something to do with it, if not there is a serious problem. Pietersen got 45 and bell 30 odd which is the only scores that stand out and freddie got 17 on his return batting at 7, with Ambrose in front of him, why?  Vaughn again didn't get any runs. Why is
Pattison playinhg, surely Tremlett shouldv'e been next man in if as woas the case sidebottom wasn't fit?
