I'm so tempted by the pads and gloves combo now. Are the gloves any better quality or protection wise than the standard SS super test gloves?
with the red in them I think you will be better off with a combo than just pads.

Closer in size to small men's or youths instead of standard UK men's.

Thanks for the information. What are your pads like? Do they have padded straps or any other additional protection?

Hi mate

No padded straps. I've added some of the ones Red Ink were selling to the top straps though, problem solved.

I've been reliably informed they have fibreboard inserted for added protection.

Will get some up close pictures and go and beat the gloves with a mallet in a minute, watch this space!  :D

Mallet test done (no video as I had my hands full!)

Both performed well, without the Whiteouts seeming to offer any substantial extra protection. I wacked myself on each hand and if anything the bottom hand on the whiteouts offer slightly better protection on the bottom fingers.
What was apparent was the Whiteouts were bigger (longer fingers) and more flexible.

Both are great pairs of gloves in my opinion  :)

Anyone noticed that the "Pro" is using Pads with black piping.

And here is my set of matching pads and gloves. They look amazing, even better in the flesh. They come in a very cool bag which zips open like a mini sort of coffin - really classy.
I can confirm that gloves are very roomy, definitely mens UK size (I have had other SS gloves that have been more like small mens) and pads are exactly the same size as all my other mens size pads. I am over six feet tall and these are fine for me.
Gloves especially just look fantastic. They have a variant on pittards palms which feels really soft and grippy.
I can't wait to use them in the nets. Enjoy the pics.

Welcome to the SS whiteout softs club Pilgrim, hope you enjoy them!

I've got two pairs of the gloves are absolutely lovely, and slightly more generous in size than the off the shelf Super Test gloves I've got. Ive not used them in the nets though as I want to prolong their life as long as possible  :-[

As for the pads they're very comfortable, I'd even go as far as to say I nearly forgot I had them on!
Only slight critiaism is the lack of padded straps, but I got some of the leather strap pads from Red Ink which solved that (and that's being really picky!)
