I used them a couple of weeks ago and I wont be using them again. I sent 2 pairs the finish on both pairs was awful they had glue all over the upper of the shoes as well as numerous other marks and both pairs where brand new. The inner soles had been stitched to the inside of the shoe and they sent the shoes back in just the shoe boxes individually covered in tape and just about destroyed when I sent 2 pairs in a large box with bubble wrap etc via courier. I have used them previously with no issues but would rather pay more and use the shoe doctor from now on as the finish on his work is superb I don't want more shoes ruining.

That sounds awful - really surprised - but it suggests that they have a new person doing the shoes. Have you given them the feedback?

Note to the wise, when buying replacement spikes for brian and Brenda spiked trainers, they have 11spikes per shoe rather than the usual 10...

I just got looked up the shoedoctor as its local to me and it appears they are unable to do any spiking for the forseeable future

Does anyone have any recent info about B&B? Are they still in operation? Are the standards still high?

Yes and yes. Give them a call if you need.

You sure about the shoe doctor? I got a pair spiked by them only a few weeks ago, best give them a call if you haven't already.

Can I just jump on this thread. Had first game, made a measly 1 run. Clearly it was my spikes... I mean it couldn't be me.  ;)

So bought a pair of trainers... who is best option for spiking? turnaround?

Always cheaper to do it direct with B and B. The last pair I had were turned around in about a week.

Gave B&B a call, seemed straight forward.

First time I've gone for spiked trainers, but it makes complete sense. I picked up a pair of reeboks for 30 in the last pair sale section. B&B charge 33 plus postage.

So to get a chosen comfy pair of trainers spiked for just over 60 is good value in my opinion than buying a top range cricket shoe.

Sent off today, looking forward to wearing them. I have always felt more comfortable and agile in nets when i have worn trainers.
