A few that spring to mind.
Getting through 25 overs on the reel at wythall, playing for aston old eds in div 4 of the works league. It was my last game before I left for walmley in the b'ham league. I'd grown up with the club but played my junior cricket at walmley. We got 150 with an end of the season rag tag side (6 genuine cricketers, 3 rugby lads, 2 social members). Me and the other opening bowler bowled unchanged throughout. I took 4 for 55, we lost by 2 wickets.
Putting on 90 with my mate against har borne, we were 80 -8 at the time and ended up getting a good winning draw. It made both speeches at his wedding when I was best man!! We had great fun, we got 47 and 40 respectively.
Lastly, Kidderminster had got 290 on a lovely deck and we thought although a big score was getable. 7 overs later we were 12 - 5. Batted 2 and a half hours for 49* to get us to 170 - 8. The purpose of draw cricket!! I turned down a single off the penultimate over to get to my 50 as the number 10 said he was confident to face. He faced the six balls, 2 in the nuts and 1 in the shoulder he walked off wounded but still able to say his 0* saved us another point!!
