Afternoon all,

Any suggestions on a repair on the below? Looks like I needed to spend a little more time knocking it in...

I've got access to basic tools, surely some watered down pva and a clamp or two should do the trick?

Get some glue in there, with as little water as you can get away with, then bind it tightly (with parcel tape would be my recommendation) while it sets, then knock it in so it's as close to level as possible. Make it totally level with a bit of sanding and it sould be good to go again.
Personally I'd also apply a scuff sheet and wrap the bottom in tape just for a bit of extra support and so you can't see the repair

Wow, I wasn't expecting a response that quickly  I'll give that a go this afternoon. This isn't the first time a budget kookaburra has gone like this, they are rock hard around the toe area.

Loooking at it I would sand it first folowing the grains as the damage is not to deep also there would be less broken bits to glue clamp and tape if there's still a requirement to do so.

Forgot to mention should you decide to sand out the damage to finish use various grades of sandpaper as each smoother grade will remove the marks left by the last grade until you obtain the smooth finish you require.
