I knew the best players have shorter blades and it wasn't just me! [emoji12]

So had Joe Root not gone to New Balance, would the Mana have been "his" range I wonder?

And tell your mate that it would only be Watto's front pad that was knackered, the back one would have been virtually unused :D

Just had another thought, would those pictures be sufficient to get this mapped by B3?
Surely as we know the weight too, having a bat made to Joe Root's exact specs would make you bat just like him... ;)

actually you saying that reminded me that I heard somewhere GM said they were using Joe Root as a tester in developing the Mana, and this had been going on for a few years do you may actually be right!

Cricket store online said joe root has been using the mana profile for a few years now.
(I didn't necessarily believe Jason, but hey ho he may be right)

So chances are his range would have been the mana

What a good call!

It looks like a beautiful bat and a whomever this mystery friend is, He is one very lucky man to be getting all such bats from GM!! I'd love to have that bat off him ;) as well as the job of writing a column on bats!

By the law of averages, it was bound to happen eventually!  ;)

Very interesting about the shorter blade and longer handle - much like H4Ls war bird!

Yes Root had a huge influence in designing the Mana and would be using it now we're it not for his move to NB

Very lucky guy! Is the Mana a replica of Roots's actual bats or have they taken the shorter blade and made there own shape?

I have a Watson bat too and it's amazingly light for such a big bat, and softly pressed so am going to knock it in with great care!!!! Might do a post on it!!!

His bats can't have had much use, I'd be less willing to accept a pair of Watson's pads mind you...
