Went in at 8 on saturday (annoyed at that!) with 3 overs left, hit 15 off 8 balls with a 6 in the last over and 4 off the last ball over the bowler.  Got 249/6 and they chased it for 2 down in 32 overs...

Pretty much given up on the season, its obvious my club aren't going to select me no matter what I do. Its not worth me being the only one turning up to nets every time if I can't even get a game. I'll be filing an official complaint with the club president this weekend. As you can imagine i'm incredibly annoyed and upset.

Why waste your time? Just change club.

I probably will be doing next season, although after having two successive clubs treat me like crap (my first club and my current one) as far as getting games goes, i'm pretty close to just jacking it in entirely. I really don't see the point anymore.

Change clubs, net with a few clubs and simply ask them if you'll get a regular game... Pick the one that's says yes. Look at clubs that are struggling maybe? Ones with 2's in the low leagues etc.. Maybe ones that have defaulted due to not raising a team. As long as they aren't dumps then at least you'll be playing every week and can go from there

Has anyone thought about the possibility that the clubs may not be the problem?

Where do you play?
Don't give up on the game,,,there will be a club out there for you.

I was in a similar predicament and really couldn't be bothered anymore.
It would have been easy to hang the old boots up and go back to golf or whatever.

Was lucky enough to meet someone who introduced me to a decent club, that hopefully I will play out my cricketing days at

What reason's have the club given you? Without wanting to seem rude, are you trying to play a level that perhaps is above you? Are you rubbing people up the wrong way perhaps? It seems very odd that at two different clubs you find yourself in the same situation.

Had a mare last night in a T20, bowled really well to keep them to 106 off 20 overs and then failed to chase it down...........

Once defended 76 in a t20, on the worlds smallest ground at Ledsham as well. It wasn't as if we had grinders in our team, Simmy and Liam were playing! Think I came in at 31-7 and top scored. We won comfortably as well. Let's just say the track was "sporting".
