thing is i have notice at the level i am playing at anything on the stumps other than off stump is hit through midwicket lol and they dont miss very oftern

This, you bowl 70 and at middle stump and you'll probably get pulled if slightly short or driven through mid on/midwicke.. Go nearer the legs and it's easy for any decent batsmen.

Oppo put 119 for 8 in 14 overs. Mainly due to there overseas who came in at 7 hitting A quick 49 of the last 4 overs.


Despite 3 failures on trott in all cricket I promoted myself to open once again. And it paid off.

We chased them down in 9 overs. I hit 81* from 34 balls.

no captaincy duties this week, hopefully with our 12 year wunderkid making his adult debut. class player with a hundred and nine 50s at county level. about 4ft 5 but its like watching a mini Tendulkar in nets. technically faultless

Won first bit of silverware of the season tonight, if indeed there is a trophy for winning Div 3 of the local T20 league. Now picked up 12 wickets too which is more than Saturdays but that's mainly due to our Saturday 2nd XI having so many free weeks (another this weekend !!).

Having looked on our league stats yesterday (for the first time in about 3 years!!) it would appear that I am leading wicket taker for my league, and also for my club.

This is a startling indictment either on the improvement in my bowling, or in the woeful standard of gullible batsmen in my league

Big LMS game last night versus top of the league who have been racking up 200+ and bowling teams out very cheaply. I came in at 4 and rattled off a good 50 as we posted 145 before restricting them to 142.

Well done. We had a nightmare against the bottom of the league team, mostly caused by it not getting taken seriously from the off and we then conceded far too many runs.

Yeah it is tough to keep everyone motivated sometimes, particularly as everyone is fielding so far away from each other.

Due to family commitments I have only managed to play 5 time this season. But compared to last season when I faced 32 balls in 18 games, I seem to be batting ok
first game in May on a wet track I scored 37 out of 69 all out
then a 7 retired hurt in the next game
I then got 24 out of 70 all out
but in the past two weeks I have scored 46 and 42

No game for me tomorrow. I am in the process of looking at switching clubs mid season and didn't fany a drive to South London for an away game from Wokingham

First team are missing four of their normal top six tomorrow, so our seconds batting is depleted. I am hopefully going to get a chance at last as if like last week the email is in batting order I'm at 5. We do however have four seamers and 2 spinners, plus some part timers so we are bowling heavy for sure, but if I'm getting a bat I'm happy to let other people turn their arm over

finally got out in the middle in a 16 over game.

forgot my whites and forgot my bat ......... so i grabbed a half made unknocked in long handle bat out of my boot, wrappped the untwined handle with elastoplast tape rocked up to the crease in my work shirt and someones whites.

fortunately i wasnt subject to any abuse and got 70 off 34 balls with what was described as "a plank" until i cleared the pavillion with a BACKFOOT drive ..... by the end of i managed to have 5 orders for bats!!!

think my love for batting has returned
