yeh shame Sangakkara didnt reach the three figures and see it through but certainly look like making it to the total. 800+ runs in 100 overs not a bad game!!!

Spoke to soon then - 3 runs short in the end. Been some good matched between these two sides so far and some excellent batting!

Viru is on top form at the moment! Didnt watch any of it but it must be an absolute road they're playing on......some big scores in India this winter
So what if the pitch is flat, you need application to score runs.

IIRC England played on this so called 'road' last year, and got one hell of a beating.

I was merely commenting on the amount of runs scored recently on these indian tracks - they've batted sri lanka out of the series.

And if i recall correctly, England can get a hiding anywhere in the world - not just India ;)

Sounds like one of those games which will go down in history. Obviously, not as good as the Australia v South Africa game a few years back, but this is well up there, not so much for the scores, but for the sheer entertainment factor. I was following it on cricinfo commentary and it was awesome reading.
