Woodstock had out "sponsorship" like Xmas cards so little Jonny (and Steve, Kev, Peter & Brian for that matter) probably think they're the muts nuts because they're "sponsored".

Mummy & Daddy are likely proud to tell everyone their son is "sponsored" which will lead to the question 'how did they get that?' So half the county end up "sponsored" by Wodstock because a load of parents asked nicely!

I'm cross with Woodstock. They sent our club's 'sponsored' player a plank, so he borrowed my bat on Tuesday and smashed 50 and the inside bloody edge.

I never said it wasn't a good idea! 20% off RRP sponsorship for all, they all think they're getting a good deal so place an order.

Half the lads at my uni got in on that deal, all loved it despite the fact that the money off brought them down to about normal retail! Nice bats, but the prices are mental at RRP.

Worst i saw last season was a guy leaving the cotton filling of his old pads all over the pitch as he was running as it trickled out of a hole.
That matched is fibre tape of the face of his bat slow unraveling the longer he batted.

This sounds very much like one of my best mates last season...

Played at Deddington Saturday in the OCA.  The opening batsman had an OX-SPORT bat, never seen one before.  To be honest I didn't get a good look, just a sneaky peak from mid-on.  The stickers were not great but the grains look very good. and it went ok.

Couple of nice grainy GM Originals on Saturday.
One a Six6, the other an Apex used by their overseas player.

As they batted most of the innings I didn't see much else, but there was a cameo appearance of a GN (I think F18 with only the top stickers left on) that had a lovely flutterby stain on the back.

Alot of the Woodstock junior bats are Pakistan made so no wonder they like giving away sponsorships

Don't they have a "Made in England" sticker on the back though?
Or is that just the senior ones?  ???

Played against the owner of Vantage on Saturday, unsurprisingly his bat looked very nice indeed! Also a grainy looking SF, owner of that didn't last long though.

Young lad on oppos team had a lovely kook on Sunday
Seemed to ping from most of the bat
I know nothing about kook bats, so asked him how much he paid
99quid!!!!

Bit dead near the toe, but a huge middle and picked up lovely
Absolute bargain

Today I saw a Newbery Platinum for a total of two balls, and an Affinity Polaris, which sounded great. @ItsJustCricket
