You are thinking of cricmart.com, which is not the same as cricmart.in which is where this kit came from.

Right then! The bat has been oiled, the edges rounding and a bit of walking all over with the mallet, a scuff sheet applied (to the bottom of the SS on the sticker), an extra half later of binding applied to the bottom of the handle and the knobbly bit applied to the top of the handle.

The bat now comes in at 2lb11 & 1/8 (my weight!  :D)

I just need to finish knocking it in now! (Unless someone wants to do it for me?)

Was any sticky residue left when  you removed the sticker?  Top job on that

There was a small amount that I got off with white spirit.
I then gave the whole face a very fine sanding before I oiled and there's no sign it was ever there

Nice bat there Cam, very very hard to beat the value there, as said earlier even a bat refurb costs nearly the amount you paid.

What grit did you use Cam when sanding it? FYI I've finally done it and bought a Master 1000  :D Hopefully it'll be with me soon as it was posted today, I think I've got a bargain considering how many grains there are and how straight those grains are as well, what do you guys think?

That looks great for a 1000 - could pass for a much higher version - minimal concaving, nice shape and the TON on the back is symmetrical which will please Cam   ;)

Very noce @liscon12
I'm convinced the lower grade SS are the bats to buy, they often look better than you'd expect them too and the value for money is almost unrivalled.

Looks a similar shape to mine, so there's plenty of wood for the weight.

And I used 400grit wet 'n' dry to sand mine, it gives the bat an almost as good as the factory finish.
Once you oil if you'll never know it was done

Very nice bat .. About the the binding on the bottom half of the handle... How do you do it ? Pardon my ignorance, i tried searching the forum with keywork "thick bottom handle" and ended up in the wrong place. If there is a thread already covering this topic, let me know and i will check there.
