Seeing as I have just sat and read a thread relating to different types of trousers you 'fine gentleman' will be adorning this season got me thinking of SOCKS!

Personally I go for a Cricket sock in the mid price range, currently the Kookaburra Air tech to be precise. Whats everyone elses take on the cricket sock? Will you splash the cash for a 1000 Miler or is 12 Pairs of donnays for £5 from sports direct good enough?

Horizon Test. Best sock going. I played circa 65 games last year, shoes and socks are very important when doing something so often that involves standing about for hours on end!

Whatever of my 26 pairs of sports direct cheapo slazenger socks happens to be at the top of the drawer on game day, along with a spare pair in case the outfield is a mudbath.

Its kind of like a tri textured bat grip.

The end is smooth, the middle is ribbed and the bottom end is a pimply texture (a bit like the S&M Grips posted somewhere on here the other day).

I have a feeling we're not on the same wavelength here  :D

I was referring to longer than average socks, nothing more nothing less. What you chose do with them on the otherhand is of your own being..

I use a Snood.

While that probably keeps the shaft warm, doesn't the hole at the end make it a bit drafty!

I've been selling the HORIZON TEST socks for years. I do them for a tenner & a lot of my customers use them for everyday use as well.

You're quite right - however, if I use my balaclava, my plums drop out!
