I dont mind it how it is. I actually asked David if it could be turned upside down but it is not able to be.

In one of the bat making videos, David explains that in order to measure the density each cleft is already pre cut to a shape of known mass, therefore cannot be turned around, screenshot below.



It should help with balance at approx 2.115 with along handle and I want the dark side on the RH edge and that little bit of butterfly stain at the base will be good for strengthening the toe.

At least i can be sure it will ping all the way up to the stickers lol.

Ive decided to try spending some of my money on a batting coach rather than new bats over the off season before i change clubs. Using my DB2 for the first time in the nets today so hopefully ill find the middle.

Have  emailed and spoken with David so he knows I need this. I can only imagine the bat has still not gone out due to whatever issues there are getting international couriers. We are getting a great deal so no dramas about any delays.

Just need the tracking details because if no one is home and the courier doesn't leave it at the door its a two hour drive to the depot and back.

Hi Sarg,

Your bat got despatched yesterday, it was booked in for shipping on Monday as discussed due to the removal of the duffle bag.
The bat will hopefully be there for Friday, I will forward the tracking info today.

Please give us 24 hours to respond to emails, we will try to get back to you the same day but it's not always possible, working till past 9.30 last night and still got 83 unanswered emails. So please don't think we are ignoring any of you.

My Tonto has arrived and Ive made some adjustments. I ordered it as a long handle and have taken a cm off the toe and then tapered it. Sorry Dave.




The whole blade pings from the toe to the stickers and i'm super happy. Its such a great profile.


Near 40 mm edge


Near 68 mm spine



Bit thicker than before.


Have to also add that the finishing of the bat seems to have improved since the db2 was made. The polishing is top notch.


End result is a 20/20 or short format bat that feels amazing. Its now  2.10. My db2 on the right it 2.95 but actually picks up heavier than the Tonto.
