I'm struggling to pick Morgan to be honest. I'd like:

Roy
Hales
Taylor
Root
Stokes
Butler
Rashid
Wiley
Plunkett
Wood
Finn

I'd say from that plunkett or Wiley would make way for morgan, who'd slot in at 5 and everyone move down one.
They still have 5 bowlers plus root that way.

Morgan shouldn't necessarily be in the side, but we all know as skipper he's gonna be,

Worth saying that Ali would be in the squad, but has been asked to get some overs under his belt in the championship.

My team from that lot is...

Hales
Roy
Root
Stokes
Morgan
Butler
Billings
willey
plunkett/Jordan
wood

Really struggling for the last bowler. I really don't rate Rashid and there is no way he can be relied on for 10 overs. Finn remains unselectable for me.
The lack of spinner is a big issue.

Batting looks great.

From that squad you really HAVE to pick rashid. Is this the end to tredders?

And about time too.  He's ok, but he is not the future.  We need to be rebuilding for the next World Cup.

I could see any one of these players in the test team within 12-24 months except Morgan really.

Billings in as the second keeper over Bairstow is interesting, bit weird they didnt give him a game in the Ireland game if you ask me. Would love to see him get a game in this series but unless that blow to Buttlers hand did some damage last night i cant see it happening

Batting looks great.

Finn is hitting some decent form in the County games and has a proven track record. Why unselectable?

Hi action is still shot when I last watched him play. Any kind of pressure and he could fall apart again.
My real worry is who are the holding bowlers? who can bowl dot balls. All of the bowlers in that squad have terrible economy rates.

I think he is being asked to bowl loads in the champo in case Eng make a U-turn and pick a different spinner for the ashes.
