Well that was an anticlimax... The head-to-head contest never materialised and hopefully yesterday was the nadir of my season. Mostly spectated at slip as some impressive Chertsey batting aided by a dire fielding display saw us chasing a colossal 320. I went out full of positive intent, eyes lit up at the 1st ball of the innings and nicked the juicy wide long hop to the keeper . Think @FattusCattus will have gone home slightly the happier as he nipped in with a couple of wickets and an earth-shaking catch as we fell the small matter of 200 short.

Ahhhh Felix - I tactfully refrained from commenting until now!!

Yes, it was a good batting display by us, and yes I was itching to get out there and give it a whack. I did chip in with 3 cheeky wickets (it could have been more, bit for some very steadfast umpiring )  Felix managed to remove himself before I got a shot at him!!!

The earth-shattering catch was very satisfying as he was a damn good bat and we needed to get rid of him - however, it has resulted in a suspected broken bone in my right hand. I'm struggling to hold a bat, but thankfully I can still propel my filthy left-arm dobbers up the other end!!

Nice bunch of guys at Felix's club, but I wouldn't want to bowl on that ground every week!!

Yep, I still have nightmares about getting cut and leg-glanced for six there. Not much fun.
