Love all this!! Our ECB Prem is certainly not a gentlemans league, but its tough aggressive cricket, the way it should be!

Dont worry pal we're also missing players !

Hey mate, this was completely tongue in cheek by the way. I'm just kiling time in work looking forward to later. You know us so you know we play the game in the right spirit, especially LMS.

Anyway prepare for some leg stump bowling and some quick running when we are at the crease ;)

That's us Sankey Valley Vipers - We have no Parko this year and the Aussie has gone back to Moolallaba. We've replaced them with a yorkshireman who would make Geoffrey Boycott seem in a hurry and an angry Scot who's aggressive short picthed bowling should be served up with a side salad!!!!

Adam is still playing mate and Ste Southy, the rest of us are hopefuls. Liam's working night shift now...

I can't believe you've got the Aussie from Prescot he ripped through us on Saturday. 75 all out chasing 130, I think he got 5!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up we'll look out for who's got a bandaged thumb in the field and target him :)

See you in about an hour mate

If there is no chance of winning then

A)concede . No point going out there to get slaughtered
B) go out there and just have a laugh, totally ignore the oppos and literally just have a net
C) bowl the worst pies ever if you bowl first or try and hit every ball for 6 if you bat and it'll be over in no time
D) play normally and get slaughtered and listen to the oppos take the mick out of you because unfortunately people like to take the mick rather than just realise they are better

Personally, if I seriously think it's a pointless game I'd just not play. I'm not spending money and time to have the Micky taken out of me/us by people who should realise they are better and win but without letting you know about it.

They won - no dirty tactics, except one of our lads trying to catch the ball with his forehead... It was actually quite gentlemanly, I let them bat first so it wasn't a wasted journey for either side and they let our lad back in after he was run out because he didn't know the 'double' play rule.

They were 165 for 2 off 20 overs. We finished on 105(ish) for 5, which wasn't bad considering we lost three men in the first over... (I think they went easy on us though;)
