Looks like a new brand on the block. I like the graphics and the gear and the PRICES ARE THE BEST EVER!

Anyone seen or tried or even own some Evolution gear?

looks like nice stuff - although it does not say what grade the bats are and there is a lack of overall information about the bats.

Maybe see more from them in the coming months

Boring!!!! Way too many generic brands like this nowadays - they offer nothing new or different - they use a stock pad and glove design and as has been mentioned a lack of information on the site. It doesnt say if the bats are english made or indian made, not that it makes a massive difference but some punters will want a bit more info.

These guys are based in Kent, perhaps Matt (h4l) can shed some more light on this??

The stickers are a carbon copy of champ bats. I had the black champ which is called the fighter, but the red champ is called the majestic. All the stickers are doing is (on the front) covering the C of the champ branding and replacing it with their logo. The gloves look extremely similar to a brand that gets their gloves made there, so I am guessing the stuff is made by champ. However, if thats the case, then the bats should be excellent.

Bats and gloves and pads look like they're from champ sports, look on alibaba, very similar designs.

Yeah the branding is almost identical . . .thats lazy!!!

I do like the look of the softs tho! Although the pads are very similar to Redback with the silvery knee cup etc!

Still overall stuff looks good in my opinion . . .but are they another mass importer/rebrander??

Seen 3 or 4 and they were terrible. Musama what did you mean on csf when you said "The new solitare?" Dont think the prices are all that either, bearing in mind my Itias was £100 and redback was £160 for Le so only £25 more and a much better bat in my opinion. Dont see what all the fuss is with solitare

very bland and unimpressive....a very poor attempt at launching a new brand. Looks they just got into the business because they wanted to..... the guys could not even put the grip on the bats right (see the red rings they are uneven) for the photo session....

pads and gloves have the same design as SS softs......

with so many brands / companies coming-up there has to be some sort of innovation or a USP to sell and establish the brand in the market......

I dont necessarily think a company has to have a USP or innovation in order to succeed but merely they have to provide 1) a quality product and 2) great service. But Yash your right there are a numerous companies like this one that merely import and rebrand gear. Like some have told me there is nothing wrong with this its just business, but in my opinion a poor business that has no sustainability.

If they make their own bats . . . then fair enough but its likely they are either imported out sourced out. However, they do offer a 50% discount to promising youngsters so cant fault them for that

Very interesting - I did initially write that designs were stock copies but everyone apart from the big brands does stock designs with their branding, so I thought it would be a bit unfair to point that out. Prices are excellent - come on! I can get the batting gear and wk gear for £250 - that is awesome, surely?!

It all goes back to what Phil @ Aero said: Too many brands in there for the sake of it, with no innovation.

yeah i dont think anyone could argue with their prices but you have to remember that they are introductory prices so after this period they will match brands like Redback, H4L so they will have to not only match their quality but also match what they offer.

Got this e-mail back from them . . .make of it what you will

Danny Thank you for your email and questions about Evolution Cricket.. Our cricket bats are made of grade one willow which is purchased by myself here in the UK. Due to excessively high bat crafting costs from the UK I send the willow to a craftsmen in India to be tailored to our requirements.. All bats are handmade so each one is different to the next in regards to the weight and feel of the bat.. I hope this answers your immediate questions. Please feel free to contact us should you have any further requirements.
Best Regards,

Daniel Cotton

It still amazes me how it is cheaper to buy the willow in this country - have it shipped to a factory in India and then have it shipped back!

Maybe the fully British guys could market their bats as being eco friendly!

Has anyone now used any of their kit or is planning to purchase any? I'm very curious as to the quality of the bats. I know they're crafted in India but that doesn't mean necessarily that they're bad or they're good.

gramw, were you saying you'd seen 3 or 4 of their bats and they were terrible? If so why? If not what were you referring to?

Like the idea kenbriooo, some of the British batmakers on this forum could try it out. Maybe add something about their greenness on their websites.
