Do opening batsmen have different shoe requirements to middle order players? ;)

I'm using Nike shoes this year, they're nice but feel heavier and less comfy than the Asics I used last year.

Best thing to do is go to a shop and try a few pairs on  ;)

do you prefer a full spiked when batting or half spiked?

i currently use asics 210 not out when playing on turf & asics hardwicket 5 when playing on synthetic wickets.
will be purchasing the asics gel advance 6 soon as my 210 sole is a lil worn out..

I've had Gel Advance 2, then Gel Advance 4 and just got some Gel Advance 6's for $50 from an Asics outlet. Never let me down and love how light they are.

Sorry, I don't think so. They have stores at DFO near the Brisbane airport and out at harbour town down the gold coast. Those are the ones I know of in QLD, there would be more throughout Australia.

I know, very good steal. I think they might of been samples or something as they were missing the sizing on the tongue, but other than that they were exactly the same.

Lots of great shoes, choose the most comfortable ones for you. Shoes are a personal thing.

There are some great deals out there at the moment so grab a bargain.

Depending on how much you wanted to spend, there are a few suggestions.

Low Price Point: Kookaburra 515 Spike or the Gray Nicolls Velocity

Mid Price: Adidas SL22

High: Asics Gel Advance 6

Top: Asics ODI

Overall my choice would be the Advance 6.

King pair

I wear trainers that I've had spiked up for batting and personally think you can't beat it. Can't be beating for comfort they just don't have as much protection. One of the other advantages is that if you know you have fallen arches of your feet pronate you can buy a proper pair of structured running shoes to suit that

It's the future

Most of the international players wear Adidas, if asics r better then why do they prefer Adidas?
