Voges probably saved his career with his maiden Test fifty.

Cook wins the Ashes as captain twice and contributed diddly in either 2013 and 2015. Lucky mascot.

Back to June - Jason Gillespie - how right you were.

Great performance by Stokes in the second innings after a pretty quiet series! Always think it's the mark of a good side when it's different people each time making game changing contributions.

I do wonder what might have happened had Siddle been selected. Throughout this series, for the most part, Australia have struggled to tie an end up. They've almost been too aggressive. Would Siddle have made it that much harder to score runs?

As hard as this is to say cook's captaincy has been outstanding during the last few games

Well said buzz, its certainly improving.i think behind the scenes the coaches are already helping the players with a change in structure and attitude
Im sure i heard a quote from stokes who said match preparation is now up to the players.they work it out not have it done for them-so a responsibilty shift.
As for Cook he deserves everything that comes his way.he never gave in thru the tough times and came out the other side
A lesson for some of us maybe :)

I think you meant to say they couldn't tie up either end. At times the dreadful batting was evenly matched by the dreadful bowling
