How is bt sport free??

A sad day for all when you have to pay for two TV services to watch the sport you love!

I might be wrong but BT has the rights to C9's coverage. But Sky can host their own broadcast like they normally do.

Hmmm...something has to give because at some point the suits will realise kids need too see the sport they like on the tv...currently it's for the prevelidged few.
But if BT sport has significantly outbid Sky are we not going to have to pay for it?

Paid for by the broadband subscription...

This is the underlying battle and where the huge money is.

Well then you would have to question that as sky have the 2019 home series whether us fans are any better off.
As has been pointed out above we would need to pay twice.
The future is probably watching it,or any sport, maybe thru the internet

Have got rid of Sky Sports due to the cost I can't say the thought of having to pay for BT instead is any more appealing  :(

Cricket on Five highlights it is for me still...

A comeback for radio coverage maybe?
Wonder how many of the forum remember taking a radio to bed to tune in for the australian tours as a kid?

Haha!!! :)

Gutted about this. Had to give up on UFC when BT Sports got the rights to that and then half the football went too. Really thought cricket was safe but sadly not.
I thought competition was meant to be good for the consumer driving down prices but this just seems to force us to pay out twice if we want to watch the sports we love.

This coming out on the same day that I found out Fear The Walking dead was going to be exclusively on BT has made this a very sad day  :(

Before my dad got Sky, nevermind Sky Sports itself, I actually had permission from him to use his digital radio to listen to TMS during the 06/07 Ashes series. I was only 12 back then. I also used to rush to get ready for school earlier than usual so I could listen to TMS for an hour before setting off.

Sports are rapidly becoming way too expensive to watch on TV (at the ground is already often too expensive when you factor in the total cost), and as everyone correctly points out, it's hitting grassroots level participation badly.

Can't imagine BT sport's coverage is going to be of any class. Probably get the likes of Swann and gough presenting it!

If you have virgin media on a mid size package you get BT Sport included in the package price.
