Removing marks on bat
« on: September 28, 2015, 05:47:07 PM »

Hi all

Just wanted to check on this - bought a lovely new bat and am knocking her in.

I had oiled the back and left 48hrs, put bat into bat cover and now I have black marks on the back of the bat, shoulder and handle.

Nothing major but wondered if there was something I could try to get it off? not overly bothered but be nice if I could remove some of them.

Any tips?

If it is wear from the bat cover, sand it down with a high grade 400+ sandpaper. If its not wear, then please post a picture

Just guessing if the bat was still a little damp when you put it in the bat cover the cover would have  probably caused the marks you could lightly sand them off or rub them off  with nail varnish applied to a cloth.

Any particular colour of nail varnish?   ;)
