you've got to admire someone like Cook who really goes big when he gets a ton. remarkable achievement of concentration.

Cook's levels of concentration are almost unbelievable, he's been out there for what, ten sessions now? Including ten hours of batting? Unreal.

No chance of a result, England should just aim to bat out the test and grind the Pakistan players into the dust, while at the same time letting their bowlers put their feet up before the 2nd test.

I was just thinking the same thing, no chance of a result now, grind em down and let Cook go after Lara's 400 haha  :D

Agreed - got to look to the next few tests now and no better way of getting an edge than literally roasting the opposition in the field. Time to get your test averages up boys. Fill ya booties

I think England will bat until some point mid afternoon tomorrow (if they don't get bowled out). The wicket isn't getting any worse so a collapse is unlikely. Let Rashid and Ali have a bit more practise and call it a draw.

Good chance for Cook to score 400 if they bat out the 5th day.

I'd be tempted to try and bat the full five days - keep PAkistan's bowlers out in the middle for as long as humanly possible and keep your own bowlers fresh.

Still thoroughly enjoying this, for all the talk of summer and games ending in 3 days etc this makes a change. Don't think it'd be fair to use this match as an indication of test cricket dying out.

Bumble calling that other match was amazing

Is cook tired? Do England have a new game plan?

2 poor(by international standards) reverse sweeps followed by some flails outside off and an edge not carrying.

Root needs to have words! DIg in cook we want 300!!!!
