I'm still in talks with Paul about exactly what we can and can't say - so for now I will remain tight lipped, and only say a thank you to the vigilance of the forum which helped us ensure we stick to our philosophy!

The picture of his Millichamp range has gone from his Instagram account, that must tell you something surely?

Even though their origins may be questionable the 2 M&H's I got from Paul are absolute guns! Everyone who has used them thinks so.

Even so, you have your values and you have stuck to them. Well done

Their bats are made in India? Does it change that fact that my Millchamp & Hall Amplus is a cannon? No, it has no impact on my bat's performance. I love my Millichamp & Hall Amplus. Would I buy another Millichamp & Hall bat? Yes, if the price is right i.e. I find a good (discount) deal.

Having said that, IJC has integrity and that is what I ALWAYS liked about them. Nothing changes for me. No harm, no foul.

I have to say, I honestly thought you would bottle it and stock them but absolutely fair play to you.

You have taken a proper kicking on this forum on this matter, and I believe that this decision goes a long way to repairing any damage that may have arisen from that.

Top work boys, and all the best for the future

Applaud the decision, particularly as it's a good selling bat and it can't of been an easy decision to make.

I don't think it's an issue about the bat being made in India, from a workmanship or quality perspective, just look at the GN bats. It's more the lack of transparency from the manufacturer. I would probably question the ethics of a company selling something at such a huge markup (I'm assuming these £500 bats weren't costing £250 each to make) and passing it off as something it isn't, even allowing for vague advertising.

It's more the lack of transparency from the manufacturer.

That's only ever been the issue, regardless of personal opinions on the brand/cost etc

Quote from the front page of the M&H website;

"We hand make every single cricket bat at the workshops in the Somerset County Ground, Taunton. Using traditional methods, our craftsmen ensure that we get the best possible performance out of each cleft of willow."

If this isn't the case, then it's not only totally immoral and misleading but also breaks the Sale of Goods act. I doubt we'll ever get the full details but I do commend @ItsJustCricket for sticking to their philosophy on this. They've personally said that M&H are one of their best sellers (and I'm not surprised with them being in the middle of London, price isn't an issue round these parts for most!) so to take them off their shelves altogether is a big move and commendable.

Guess we'll have to wait and see, maybe the M&H website wording might have a few subtle changes in the coming weeks......
