When you pitch your products at a premium price, should you not assume a premium product and service.
THIS is where M&H fall down
There's no question they can make a half decent bat, but it's the frequencies of breakages , poor finishing and exceptionally poor service.
I could go on about there attitude to the average joe customer, but I can feel myself getting wound up!
Let me address some issues here:
1. Frequencies of breakage: we have had fewer M&H returns than any other brand this year, and over the past four years I can count on one hand how many have come back to us. Given that they are always one of our top 5 best selling brands every year, this is pretty good going.
2. Poor finishing: whilst I am inclined to agree that others finish their bats better, how can a fully knocked in bat - a bat that's been knocked in by hand (with a mallet), which M&H do (I know this because I have seen it with my own eyes whenever I've visited - it's not just "marketing") be finished well? Quite tricky to give a glossy sheen to a bat with mallet indentations all over, isn't it? How many other brands can honestly say that their bats come fully knocked in (by hand), something that can save a customer up to £50! This, in turn, makes the higher prices of the bats more justifiable, doesn't it?
Or again, maybe I am missing something?!
Just seems to be a lot of anti M&H for questionable reasons imho.
