we actually discussed this Garrett. a lot of work involved tho. not with foam tho as not sure if that would work with the wood being over the top

Could you cork it though? ie. take out a chunk of the inside (like a hunts turbo revolution) and fill it with foam (or not).

we did something similar before but it was a bit thick and when it was glued it cracked slightly...

@Ryan and @Simmy do you press the back piece as well as the front or is it cut, glue and then press? is there any benefit in pressing both the face of back piece and front piece or none? this method must also allow you to increase the overall size of the bat I presume as far cleft sizes are concerned?

No, they are laminated prior to pressing, glued and then pressed. I don't think you would gain any additional performance by pressing the back piece, it would also make it more difficult to laminate with a tight joint.

No they're my old match bats that ill be selling for around £50.00 each. Yours are in the middle of the rack.

Hunts county filled one with carbon fibre then laminated over it, some years ago though, there's a photo of one on vintage bats I put on, my neighbour helped design it and still has the original prototype..
