In my experience, the fact that Matt made it normally ensures that it will be a belter whatever the grade! But this Custom grade is exceptional!
I would imagine that there are a number of people checking their bank account balances and then checking down the side of the sofas for any dropped change!
If it wasn't this close to Christmas then I would be checking! However, I suspect that when January comes, I will be checking those sofas myself! 

What is the spec on that stunner JB? Did you get a bat copied or did you simply have a weight and profile in mind?

I got a hellfire g1 last year that was a bit of a Custom shape Pete, it was huge! 45mm edges and very little concaving. I just wished that I'd paid the extra 50-60 quid and got the top grade. With this in mind I rang jake and asked if he could sort me another out, I didn't really have any specs in mind I just asked him to tell Matt to make something fairly big and that I trusted his judgement. This is what I ended up with  very happy indeed! I'm not sure of the exact specs but it looks big!! Jake @Vitas Cricket said it was immense, he'd be better placed to give an idea of the size

Have to say I don't have a "custom" on the way, just a monster g2 NV.

Got some pics jake sent me, just waiting for rest of my gray nics pre order before he posts it.






If as good as people make out a custom may be a future choice.

Exactly. I was not bothered too much initially but after visiting it did add more to the purchase that it was all done in house. added a little more buzz and confidence. Besides its value for money compared to the best of the best from many other vaguely comparable companies was untouchable so it is a no brainer for me

That's a stunning piece of willow and great profile. Seems to have long middle.

cheers. I did think to go for closer to Warner profile and take edge to 50 odd and a flat face and add concaving as that looks bigger. But id rather have a smaller edge (still well above 40mm) but have a thicker toe/shoulder and more even edge profile as I liked with my previous bats. Concaving I'm generally not a fan, meant I could take the middle higher as I prefer, knowing I had plenty of wood in bottom end too. In addition, the peak spine is noticeably bigger than any CA or BAS I have had so I got an excellent hybrid of my favourite bats with a Warner
