what is the difference in length between a regular SH, a regular Harrrow, and a CA SH (apparently CA makes bats slightly shorter)...

also, are all three the same in terms of width?

Harrow is narrower (by 6mm off the top of my head).
CA apparently make bats narrower so the edges appear bigger (not sure if this is true or not)

Completely depends on the company, GM harrows are around 6mm less than sh like cam mentions but my hell4leather Harrow is full width. As for the length again it can vary with company but normally around 10-15mm shorter and I found my CA SH was around 8mm shorter than sh

From experience...

CA tend to be slightly shorter blades, by like 1.5cm. The width tends to be around the 104-105mm mark as opposed to the full 108mm. A lot of companies have been doing this recently, personally, as long as it doesn't drop below 105mm, I'm generally okay. Found Newbery would sometimes taper down from 106mm at the toe to 102mm at the shoulders. I think it's entirely dependent on what they're trying to achieve, probably just a lighter batch.

Companies which tend to stick with the 108mm limit are GM, GN, Kook and Slaz. SS are generally around the 106mm mark. It doesn't make too much of a difference, but it's surprising how your eyes can spot a 2-3% difference in width at times!

There seems to be an influx of small mens bats now too which are apparently harrow width. I asked IJC on twitter and they said the Spartan is harrow width and I think GM academy is harrow, not sure about other brands.

think I might go for a womens size when I buy next! would be good for me with a smaller and thinner handle with my Jeremy Beadle hands.

Did toy with the idea of an academy when I last purchased but couldnt afford the GM one at the time.

If you go for harrow or small mens choice, the weight range offered also will drop down (2lb 8oz is the max i could fine in Kookaburra). Better to stick to short handle.
