When I'm bowling I usually go fine leg for the alternate over.
When not bowling and early in the game I'm generally cover or point.
Later in the game I sweep the boundary as I have a good arm.

I'm happy anywhere barring square leg, where for some reason I struggle to pick the ball up. I usually field cover/Mid off for seamers, slog corner when spinners come on.

Anyone else like to play the move the fielder game when umpiring at square leg? If you notice the fielder is basing his position off you, you try and move in or out whenever you can and pull the fielder out of position. Doesn't work often, but great if it does. One to liven up a boring Sunday game.

I keep, pretty much because I have too and I am a keeper.
But when I use to field and occasionally do its at cover or mid off
Also very good off my own spin bowling when I used to do that

Point, square leg or anything in front of square with the exception of cover.

Normally a keeper but when not keeping, happy at mid on or mid off don't mind anywhere if I'm honest but given a choice I would field there.

Mid on, preferably but last couple of games of the season I was at deep wicket keeper as ours was letting everything through!

Point or covers, I love the action, I want the ball to come to me every delivery, team mates think I'm nuts.
Also get asked to do the silly positions, no lid, no shin pads, no box.
Also stand in keeper, which I'm not so keen on, too old to be crouched down for that long.

Midwicket or covers, though the skipper thinks I've got a decent arm (I haven't) so I'm usually first for the "go three quarters mate"...

Covers or midwicket on the one or catching is my favourite, I've got a rubbish arm and I'm not the fastest chaser but I'm pretty handy at reaction catches and stops, I like the slips for the same reasons.
