Mmmm... 50mm+edges from 2.10... That's some seriously low density cleft there!!! Is that even possible without drying the kjeebers out of it???

Concave it to within an inch of it's life? You could end up with a bat that has 50mm edges with 30mm of wood in the hitting area where they've had to take so much weight out.

With those specs you wouldn't expect a full profile, but these could be taking the piss...

Speaking of profiles and concaving, do M&H actually 'make'/SSell a full profiled bat any more?

It looks like my typhon with concaving fair play looks a nice bat too me

Of course it possible has more concaving than my bat but i have seen a crown 360ish density make a bigger bat it possible

The bat I saw in the burnley shop had an almost W profile

As kippax do similar, low weights will need dry clefts to get those edges, can't see the point myself, but hey ho
I personally thought the profile and size are a joke, likely to get a bit of sledging on field

The stickers/colour scheme, have a hint of mongoose about them, I quite like the pink, and it looks even better in the flesh.

I'm sure it's a big financial gamble for M&H , but after kieswetter retiring they've needed to do something.
If they sell a couple of those bats to burnley lads, I hope for the shop owners sake, they've not over dried them, and they suffer breakages.

Fully decked out in M & H today is Nicholas.
I remember that series when Lathwell made his brief appearance with the original M & H. I remember then getting a bit confused when Michael bevan was using a Puma bat with very similar stickers. There was a connection between them I think? Bat maker/founder of M&H an Aussie?

Also I've missed something why are people down in M & H? Claimed all bats are English made?

No use if he can't hit the ball off the square. Is this the best no.3 we have?

Millichamp part of millichamp and hall was Julian millichamp.

At one point puma bats were made by Julian millichamp.

Yes both sets of stickers did seem similar.

Yep. Our run rate has died. Just under 3 when was at 4 for most of the morning.
And no run in last 23balls.

He has dried hales up, like he dried him up in Durban.

Yet once hales gets out because the score is going no where. The daggers will be out for hales!!

I must say that the M&H twitter has lit up with the emergence of Compton in all the gear, even with the speculation of what has gone on with the brand recently it seems that a lot of aficionados are drooling over 'his' new range!

The flashy get up certainly catches the eye, but with his purely test batting style its hardly eye-catching cricket. I understood that the CK22 was similar in principle but with Kieswetter playing in a flamboyant manner in all formats it probably had a greater appeal to it, additionally could you really imagine Compton using a behemoth of a bat as advertised, I think not  :-[

Compton said that he likes a full profiled bat.
The stump cam view shows his M&H is rather concaved. I wonder how long it will be before he goes back to his preferred maker for his "usual" shape and just applies M&H stickers

His 'grays' in the last test was very concaved too mind. Probably also easy to speculate that his 'good working relationship' with m&H goes back some time in usual Somerset style and has been getting his bats from there for years? Maybe Compton isn't a CBF member and his idea of what 'full profile' means is different to ours on here ha.
