Australia vs West Indies Test series
« on: December 09, 2015, 09:52:09 PM »

Australia on the back of beating New Zealand take on fallen giants West Indies. First Test starts at Hobart tonight.

Australia:
1 Joe Burns, 2 David Warner, 3 Steven Smith (capt), 4 Adam Voges, 5 Shaun Marsh, 6 Mitchell Marsh, 7 Peter Nevill (wk), 8 James Pattinson, 9 Peter Siddle, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 Nathan Lyon

West Indies (possible):
1 Kraigg Brathwaite, 2 Shai Hope/Rajendra Chandrika, 3 Darren Bravo, 4 Marlon Samuels, 5 Jermaine Blackwood, 6 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 7 Jason Holder (capt), 8 Carlos Brathwaite, 9 Kemar Roach, 10 Jerome Taylor, 11 Devendra Bishoo.

James Pattinson replaces the injured Mitchell Starc. Nevill will stay at 7, despite for widespread calls for him to move up to 6.

West Indies missing pretty much most of their star names, whom are chasing the T20 cash...

West Indies look very very average. Voges and Marsh cashing in big time against a poor attack. Marsh lucky to be there had many chances before and thought they might have invested in a younger player considering the oppo, could have been a chance to ease them in so to speak. Think Jackson Bird should be around the squad over Coulter-Nile better shield form.

Voges making the second most pointless double ton of all time (after Dizzy Gillespie's against Bangladesh).  Meanwhile, Malcolm Marshall is spinning in his grave...

I'd give my right bollock for a test double ton...

I know it's the Windies but I thought the Victorians were supposed to fill the ground out...

Warner's clearly taking the Michael already

Warner 444.3

Not a bad first 5 balls in a test. Procricket1982 will be having a fit, wherever he is without the internet.

Big news is Shaun marsh dropped for the returning khawaja.

You can kind of allow it, again, its the Windies.

The more I think about it the more sorry I feel for Jason Holder, he's really the only player who clearly cares about test cricket

Don't think the Aussie dressing  room would have minded that.

A 50 ball hundred from Warner would have destroyed the windies mentally before dinner, and worth a try going for it.

23 of 12 may seem a waste, but Aussies have plenty left in the shed against this poor windies side.

Was really wet this morning, plus all the huge bushfires along the Great Ocean Road. Still 53000 is far more than many if not all countries around the cricketing world.
