I'd be disappointed if they ignored the severe toe damage and sent it back refurbed with a massive split

It had already been solidly repaired mate, i explained this and that i wanted just a clean up and new stickers.

Anyway, watch this space for progress!  ;)

The bat looks much better than it did when I sent it off, but there were a couple of minor dissapointments.
I asked for 1.5 grips (with a white chevron on the top), a scuff sheet and a toe guard.
What I got back was 1 multi texture grip, a scuff sheet and a tuff toe. I also asked for the edge stamps to be either left or re-marked, which GN confirmed was possible. These were however left half removed.

The supernova stickers are very nice, but the were lifting near the handle of the bat on the front, and the sticker did not stick to the tuff toe particularly well. I may take a scalpal to the front one so it sits flush to the blade.

Had the tuff toe not been applied I would have been happy with the service, but this has ruined the look and as I did not request it I feel I've been given a service I did not want.

I am tempted to removed the scuff sheet and tuff toe, then give it a sand down low before re-applying the supernova sticker to the back and a put on a new scuff sheet.

Overall I'm happy with the majority of the work, but the edge stamp instructions being ignored after I specifically enquired about these, and an ugly tuff toe I did not want being applied has taken the shine off an otherwise brillian service.

Im about to send back my bat on wednesday have you had much luck getting any answer off them about the service? (I also have an Oblivion e41 and might ask for the edge stamps to be done and see what happens) you might have just unlucky being just before xmas?

That was successfully repaired by @wayward_hayward super duper cricket bat repairs, Gray Nics were jealous so they covered it over.

The tuff toe "fell off" to reveal a lamitoe underneath!

Proper scuff applied and some tape to hide the worse of the repair (from a distance, at least!)

Much better!  :D

The tuff toe went all that tough really, it was like a layer of zinc oxide tape painted with some kind of glue/resin.
I sound the end, unwound it and it came off easy as you like.

I may be being stupid here, but to my mind it didn't offer a huge amount of added protection (if any) over a scuff sheet, and would hide anything going in the toe area anyway.

And how far up the blade does the lamitoe go, I make it about 12mm from the 'corner' of the toe

So just booked my bat in for the whole shebang! I think it needs a new handle so im prepared for it.

I asked for the new Select stickers, 2 zone grips (white and silver) and if they could move the edge stamps to the same place the currect GNs have them. There's also a small compression crack on the toe which should get glued and clamped.

Along with all of this a scuff, fibreglass taped edges and a protectoe! (if it comes back with a tufftoe they can do one)!

Looks great now mate. You'd think following a customers requests for service would be easy wouldn't you. It's just plain laziness. Doesn't matter whether they think a customers request are a good idea or not, just do what they are paying you to do.

I'm the opposite I can't stand the supernova stickers... Looks like someone took a bad trip. That's just a personal preference though.

So apart from the neglected requests are you happy with the job done?

Other than the stamps not being moved or re-marked, once I had removed the horrible tuff toe I was very happy with what was done. The bat is in much better shape than when I sent it in and looks much better with the stickers not starting to come away from the bat due to use.
