Here we go, a Baby Typhoon profile:-

Weight 2'10.7
Harrow Length/SSH
Edge 45mm
Spine 60mm
Toe as per dave's original
Density 400
Other features - offset edge and concaving towards the spine

I thought Dave's original profile was a bit ugly lol, not sure I improved it that much but it picks up really well and seems to respond most of the way up the bat. B3's finishing seems to have gone up a level and it's got some nice grains for a G3. Many thanks to Streaky for sorting out posting as quickly as he did.

Interesting profile that, be curious to know how it goes in nets/match, good coverage I would imagine!

Very nice indeed, I was told I couldn't have this profile in that weight..
Hope it serves you well.

Nick's is Harrow length blade and super short handle with some other profile mods too, perhaps a regular SH Typhon isn't possible in 2lb 10oz

Requires an oversized cleft so availability might of been an issue or finding a light enough density cleft from the remaining stock? Was it Dave's original typhoon or this one?

I was in discussion about a baby/reduced edge size one like yours, not sure what I will go for now tbh, I'm very confused with all the shapes now lol...

nice profile that above - might be a dumb question but what is an offset edge?

That is an absolute beaut! Love your new bat collection. I'll have to keep an eye out in for sale section later in the year! Lol

In terms of pick up, does it pick up lighter than its dead weight?

When the highest point of the edge is not level with the highest point in the spine.

Hope that makes sense haha

The theory is that by moving the spine at it's peak 2cm up and the edge at it's peak 1cm down (in the case of this bat) you extend the middle vertically. This means you have a longer middle, Dave (Streaky) said it added 0.25-0.5oz of weight onto the bat, so you are placing more wood back into the middle to extend it. A conventional bat typically has the max spine and edge in the same place, in a way it's kind of sticking all your eggs in one basket - comes out of the middle great but if it's a bit below or above then the ball might not come off as well. Obviously you can extend you middle a number of ways ie. less concaving/smaller spine but more wood throughout the blade/smaller edges etc - this is just one way

I have 3 bats at 2'10.4-2'10.7 now and it probably picks up the best out of the packet. I think if you are ok at 2'9-10 you could use it.

lol - you are probably right. A season of use will sort out my favourites. The Red Ink is still a huge club and dwarfs the b3 on the spine front, though both have similar edge sizes. However the RK is a lovely profile. Add in that SD f18 bargain with 14 grains and I won't be buying another bat for a while.
