Dougydee, thanks for the comments

He's played age group county and plays a fairly good standard over here at the moment
He's a 6 foot 5 opening bowler who can bat a bit and is an excellent fielder

He would I'm sure, want to play a decent standard,(he won't play Sunday league cricket with me for fear of killing someone with his bowling)

That's great, sounds like a promising player for a club to welcome. I'd recommend putting together a cricket cv with links to online stats if possible and email it directly to club secretaries or presidents in the area he wants to play. It should be pretty easy to get the contact details from association websites. It might be a bit time consuming getting all the details but if it's something he really wants to do it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
Good luck to your son, would be a great experience playing abroad.

He asked me to go with him! I'm keen to go abroad too but not until the winter after due to university, but we've had a few Kiwi overseas at the club in recent years who I'm still in contact with- his best bet is to link up with them as they'll find him a club, accommodation, a job etc in no time.

First net went well
He said he bowled ok and that there were some good cricketers
They play top grade or something , not sure what that equates to over here

I'm sure the weathers gonna heat up pretty soon over there, whilst it goes pear shaped here

Had to load watsapp on my phone to txt him etc
That was fun! Not

Where is he? Stafford North island? I had to google it but only came up with Stafford in the South Island. If he's in the South island then he will need to get ready for some rain.
