I have KG Clifford pads which are exactly the same as the Morrant versions Tendulkar wears. Extremely light but these were gifted to me from India.

However @VKS have Superlite II which way a touch over 600g and look stunning.

I am looking too and giving serious consideration to the SF ones I saw posted on here.

76 quid for pads and matching gloves shipped......... Mate trying to put me off but keep being drawn back!!

In addition to this if someone had pads half a season and the split at the fastener would you send them back or put down to usage?
Id return them to the retailer and see what they can do
My Bewbery Kudos pads split right in the middle last year after half a season, and @itsjustcricket managed to replace them free

500 grams is extremely light nearly half the weight of ours and ours are light
Do you know how much the average  club level pads weigh...I would have guessed between  950g to 1250g

I wear men's small Aero P1 leg guards and I believe they are the lightest pads in the market right now.

Left leg guard weight: 483 grams
Rigth leg guard weight: 270 grams (right leg guard is slighly smaller for the right handed bastsman)

Aero also makes thigh guards called "Stripper" which complement the shape of the pads. They are also a very good product.

I also own Morrants and each pad weigh 539 grams each.

I have been using my Aeros for over 4 seasons and they are still going strong. They are very light and make running between the wicket very easy.

Morrant batting pads are extremely light weight. I haven't measured them but around 500 grams seems about right. These are moulded pads which might take sometime to get used to. However i like the 2 strap design and after a while i found the three strap design a bit queasy behind my knees. I would strongly recommend Morrant batting pads ...

VKS super light II gloves and pads look like an option, SS made; I had the old ones and about 600g per pad, well protected for 70mph bowling, you can run well, and have lasted about 3 seasons of cricket and weekly nets and going strong.

Agree with Chris, i got a pair of these around Christmas last year and was really impressed with how light they were, had to send them back though as they were a bit small

Narrowed it down to a choice of four (well, three really)...

http://www.vks.com/end-of-season-sale/ss-ton-professional-batting-legguards.htm

http://www.vks.com/cricket-batting-pads/vks-batting-pads/vks-superlite-ii-batting-legguards.htm

Anyone have any experience with any of these? And what's the difference between Superlite and II, @VKS?

Cheers!

The Superlite II has been completely redesigned to give a slightly more traditional look. We have also improved the flexibly and protection levels.

I think they are all pretty much same weight around 620-650g.
Couldn't comment on the SG pads but SS make VKS pads, and the SS pads in your link above look very similar to the original VKS superlight (642g according to Vinay's post in the link below).  I'd be surprised if their weight is significantly different.

Meanwhile going by VKS' description, the Superlight II are again about the same weight as the original ones at 621g on this video.

https://youtu.be/_MrMaFRI6Ek

In the VKS section there is a review of the original superlights and VKS gives the weights of his then models.

These are all going to be light.
I don't think you'll feel 30g or so difference per pad. Fit would be just as important I think but the first 3 are going to be very similar in that regard also.
