To all my wonderful nerdy chums, I would like to wish you all a fabulous New Year - and to those Antipodeans amongst us (or 'wrong uns' as we like to call them) you're in it all ready, so well done - even you Vic, you splendid contrarian.

I actually like New Years Eve about as much as I like Christmas, so I shall be semi-comatose in around 4 hours and showing my hairy plums off to any middle-aged women who come near me at the party buffet I shall be attending. Therefore I thought I would get this out of the way now.

2016 will be a marvelous year for purchasing kit, I recommend that we all try to have at least 16 bats. This place is a little haven for those who don't get out much or talk to girls. Think of the service we do to those on here that don't leave their bedrooms, or who become physically aroused at the sight of new willow - it's a self help group really.

So let loose tonight, get intoxicated, buy something from Pakistan off ebay that you don't need. Anyone who doesn't strip naked, stands in front of the mirror and shadow-bats to the sound of Big Ben's chimes, is a weirdo!

All nerds I salute you! I love kit, I love netting and I love playing. I've met some lovely people on here and a couple of right pricks - long live the forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

happy new year to everybody and im sure there will be plenty more bat buying taking place.

unfortunately i wont be drinking too much until tomorrow night as i have to work in the morning.

When I get in home and slightly inebriated tonight I'll buy some kit to see in the year. At no point will I need it right now, but I'll make up a good excuse.
