Ugliest bat that's gone like anything.
« on: January 06, 2016, 03:54:50 PM »

We see a lot of beautiful, beautiful bats on this forum.

So it's about time some of the uglier bats get some recognition I say, because we can't all get stunners.

Has anyone had an absolute cracker of a bat but with a face only a number 11 could love? Am considering a new bat, and kinda want some testimonies on a lower grade (and price) bat that has perhaps been picked on performance.

Would love to see some pictures!

This one. It is criminal it is too heavy for me and no-one wants to buy it.

Surely beauty is in the eye of the beholder so all forum bats should be things of grace and elegance :) :)

I have a Ballistic 4000 which has gone well for other people, shame it barely has 6 grains and picks up like a piece of lead.

I've got a lavishly marked butterfly from B3 that wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but it does have something about it. I'll try to get some decent pics of it.

This is it but it looks a lot better waxed and finished with stickers applied.

Used this V5 last season, it absolutely flew from ball one. You can pick them up for 65 quid now at SD.

This is my ugliest bat. However, it has fantastic pick up and excellent performance. It was this bat that confirmed for me that the grade of willow has no impact on performance. It was also the bat that got me playing the pull shot again. Finally, it was the bat that made me realise that the dead weight of a bat has very little impact on the way it feels.
