I've only just started wearing inners for batting and am slowly getting used to them. I tried full finger inners but felt uncomfortable so ive gone for the GN fingerless type.

Who else uses inners?

Any brand recommendations? as the GN fingerless dont last more than a couple of wears.

They still don't last ages, but at �2 a pair (or if, like me, you're blessed with small hands, �1.50 for youths) you dont mind so much.

Always worn full finger Inners, haven't tried the fingerless so can't comment. Moved over to Puma this season (Just bought a load of Puma kit and like everything to match, OCD) but had a spare pair of GN left over which I'm using up before using the Puma's. Agreed on the longevity of the GN Inners, only last about 5-6 matches before you feel they need changing. Always buy my Inners post-season so get them for a few quid a pair, so not too bothered. Will let you know about the Puma Inners when I get a chance to wear them.

Does anyone wash their Inners after each use? Might make them last longer?

I put mine in the was when they either go yellow or strart to smell haha
Doing it every week is more likely to shorten their lifespan than increase it, surely?

May well do, the GN aren't the best made inners, suppose they don't need to be if they are seen as being disposable. I just wear mine until they disintegrate!

Surely washing them with loads of fabric softener will help them last longer? After all they are cotton?

I went on eBay and bought about 12 pairs of simple cotton white gloves for less than �5. Nothin special but do the job for me...once they get gross il chuck them at that price

I use Kookaburra fingerless ones, which are pretty crap. One thing that makes them last longer for me is buying youths ones, even though I have massive hands it means when they stretch out they stay usable so last a few months rather than a few games.

What are the advantages for having inner gloves? Can't say I've seen anyone bar maybe one or two wear them at our club

They absorb the sweat from your hands that would otherwise go directly onto the leather palm of you batting gloves.
I've pretty much always batted with inners, so for me it's a comfort thing as well as helping your gloves last longer

I have used puma and G&M before, I washed them every now and again. I normally do an hour batting v a bowling machine each week and play one 46 over match each week with the occasional T20. This season I got some GN inners as I love their other stuff. They have a lot more material on the back of the hand which I find helps them last a bit longer before they are saturated. I've used them for about 10 weeks now and they are still in good shape. I do try to dry them immediately after using them, not washed them yet but they will be due soon.

Since I used fingerless my gloves last longer in games and also their general lifespan is extended.

I've used both fingerless and full finger inners. I personally prefer full finger but if your looking for fingerless inners then I would recommend the Salix inners as they were very comfortable.

More recently I've started using Puma full finger inners and they are actually really nice, I may try the Gray Nicolls ones at one point.
